About the information we collect online: We are the sole owners of the information collected on this website and in our store. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via e-mail, in the store, or via other direct contact with you. We do not sell or rent your information to any outside parties. Occasionally, we may send promotional newsletters and e-mails to you. We may also use any personal contact information you provide to us to send you information about specials, new products or services, upcoming events or opportunities, and other invitations and notices.
What information do we collect? We request personal information from you (which may include name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and credit card information) when you contact us, request to receive communications from Twisted, or make a purchase. If you contact us with a question or request, we will use your information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us.
When you make a purchase from Twisted in the store we will ask for your name, email address, phone number, and payment method. If you make a purchase online, by mail, or on the phone, we will also ask for your shipping and billing address. If you pay by check, we may keep a photocopy of your check. If you pay by credit card, we record the transaction, but we do not store your full credit card number. We also maintain pertinent information about you and your purchases in a secure database, including but not limited to the products you purchased, dates, payment types, and any discounts you receive. For example only, if you choose to participate in our frequent shopper program, we will keep track of your purchases and award you a $25.00 credit for every $500.00 you spend.
We may track, collect, and analyze anonymous website traffic information in aggregate, such as the number of visitors to the website, statistics of which areas within our website our users visit, and what types of browsers or operating systems our visitors use. When you visit the Twisted website, our server may also collect your Internet domain and IP address. We use this information as anonymous aggregate data that helps us develop and monitor our performance and track trends and statistics to improve your website experience. We do not combine anonymous information about your website visit with your personal information. We may provide this aggregated, non-personally identifiable information to other companies for purposes such as reporting and marketing.
As necessary, we need to share your information with trusted third-party companies that assist us in managing our operations and in accepting on-line purchase orders. For these purposes, we may transfer information between Twisted and our preferred service providers who use that information to conduct Twisted business. Steps Twisted takes to safeguard your information: When you submit sensitive information to us either in store or via our website, your information is protected both online and offline. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the confidentiality and security of personally identifiable information transmitted to us.
To guard your information, our website uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). SSL encrypts your credit card number, name, and address. To be sure your connection is secure, look at the bottom status bar of your browser window. If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending on your browser) the SSL is active. Unsubscribing, removing, or modifying your information: To modify the information you have provided during web store registration, please login and update your account information. To opt-out or unsubscribe from receiving our e-mails, please follow the instructions at the bottom of any promotional Twisted e-mail you receive. If you have unsubscribed from any Twisted communications, due to production schedules, you may receive communications already in production. What happens to your information in the event that Twisted is sold or transferred: In the event that Twisted.com or Twisted, LLC is sold, or substantially all of its assets are acquired, your information may be one of the transferred assets.
