Learn how to create beautiful colorwork without stranding! Slipped stitch patterns mix color and create texture, but only one color is worked at per round.
The Cannon Beach Cowl features two very distinct slip stitch patterns, evoking seagulls and waves. You’ll enjoy this unique design while discovering the techniques behind this intriguing style of colorwork.
Skill Required: Long tail or knitted cast on, knit and purl stitches, common increases and decreases, knitting in the round, reading a pattern, binding off.
Materials - Either bring your own or before/during class get 20% off your purchase of the following:
Yarn: 2 colors of worsted weight yarn - 120yds for main color, 60yds for contrast color; recommended yarn: Malabrigo Worsted.
Needles: one 24” circular needle, size US #9, or size needed to achieve a gauge of 5sts = 1”; one 24” circular needle, size US #7, or two sizes smaller than main needle.
