Please note the following class policies before you register. This class list is subject to change - please confirm dates and times when you register! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email our class coordinator at email@example.com, or call 503-922-1150.
Registered students receive 20% off the purchase of listed class materials before or during class, unless otherwise noted. 20% discount does apply toward wheel and loom rental. Exceptions apply: not valid towards Signature needles, not valid toward special orders, not combinable with other discounts, max 10% off on purchase of wheels & looms.
Classes are usually limited to 7 students. Class size is often smaller for beginning level classes and other classes where more one-on-one attention is necessary. It is larger for lecture style classes and workshops by visiting teachers.
Payment is required at time of registration. We cannot reserve seats for unpaid students.
Store credit (sorry, not a refund) can be given for class fee only with notice of one full week or more.
Sorry, we are unable to offer free make-up sessions for missed classes.
Classes with only one student will be canceled two days ahead, and store credit or refund given for class fee.
A skill level is listed for each class - teachers will assume all students are entering the class already familiar with the techniques specified for that level. If you have questions, please contact us before registering.
O = Beginner. You’ve never done this before. Like really. Ever. At all. Not to worry!

✽✽ = Intermediate. You are comfortable following a basic pattern and are ready to tackle new techniques. To take these classes, you should already be able to comfortably knit, purl, cast on, bind off, increase, decrease, and knit in the round.
✽✽✽ = Advanced. You are comfortable following most patterns and just need some guidance on the more complex techniques. To take these classes, you should already be comfortable with most aspects of knitting, including cables, lace, and shaping.
Classes are held at our classroom annex at 2239 NE Broadway, a bright yellow building with turquoise trim diagonally across the street from Twisted’s main shop. You are welcome to go directly to the classroom; you do not need to check in at the shop first. Be safe: We strongly recommend taking advantage of the signaled crosswalk at the intersection of NE Broadway and 24th when travelling between Twisted and our classroom annex. For detailed directions, maps, and parking information, follow this link to our website.
To ensure a consistent class experience for all students, we request that students enrolled in adult classes be high school aged or older. Children's classes will specify an age range. For parents and children wishing to learn or hone a skill together, we recommend private lessons as an affordable and wonderfully customizable option.
Private lessons are available starting at $45/ hour for 1 person + $20 / hour for each additional person. Please contact Twisted's class coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org to set up a private lesson.
Loom & Wheel Rentals
Very limited quantities are available so please reserve your rental early! $10/week for a Schacht Cricket Loom, $15/week for a Schacht Flip Loom, and $20/week for a Schacht Ladybug or Sidekick Spinning Wheel. If you rent a loom or wheel for a class in which you are enrolled, a class discount of 20% off applies to the rental fee.
